The Diplomatic Insight December 2025 is Here!

Closing a landmark year for global diplomacy with Global Ambassador Awards & International Young Diplomat School

Hello Reader

Let us all close this year with a moment of reflection and renewed purpose. This was a year of heightened diplomatic activity throughout the globe:

  • Countries attempting to offset US tariffs through bilateral deals
  • Conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, DR Congo, South Asia, Southeast Asia - and their attempted resolutions
  • Dealing with Trump's ambitious international policies, which pressurized allies (like Greenland, Panama, and Canada) and foes (Venezuela, Russia) alike.
  • Rising role of middle powers and rediscovered importance of international institutions

Diplomats have been the real MVP throughout all this. Away from the news, they are the behind-the-scene players managing the day-to-day actions and consequences that follow national ambitions.

This December, The Diplomatic Insight acknowledges diplomats and their services. We celebrate the 7th Global Ambassador Awards and highlight transformative strategic partnerships across continents.
